Our Amazing NHS!

Like everyone, we've been following the news over the last couple of months and watching the amazing work being done by people on the front-line in awe.  The sacrifices being made by so many for others on a daily basis in ubelievably tough circumstances have been inspiring to us all.  Seeing the nation come together in appreciation of our NHS and other key workers, particularly with the 'Clap for Carers' each Thursday, has been one of the few bright spots of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It was an honour for us to be able to contribute in a small way by sending a donation of brownies down to the Intensive Care Unit at University College London Hospital.  It was lovely to hear that our brownies were able to lift spirits for a few minutes in the middle of gruelling 12 hour shifts by the staff.  We can't begin to imagine the challenges they're facing each day, whilst our biggest challenge was finding a box big enough to fit 210 brownies in!!

On a more personal note, we've been truly grateful to all the community support given to ourselves and fellow small businesses in these times.  Like many others, as the situation evolved we weren't sure whether it was right to stay open or close our doors, but we've had so much positive feedback that we're glad we decided to keep going as people have needed treats more than ever it seems!  

So, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing NHS, key workers and front-line staff for keeping people safe and doing such heroic jobs right now.  We also hope that the great sense of community, amazing acts of kindness and appreciation of each other don't disappear with the virus and are here to stay!
