What brownie flavours are there?
The Homemade Brownie Company supplies 14 different flavours as standard: Classic, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Orange, Mint Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Classic Blondie, M&M, Dark Chocolate, Double Chocolate, Lemon Blondie, Nutella Blondie, Blondie Brownie, Snickers and Fruit & Nut.
Are brownies meant to be gooey?
Absolutely! We believe a slightly crunchy outside and a gooey inside is the key to the perfect brownie. Many brownies we’ve tasted over the years have either a biscuit or cake texture, but we guarantee all brownies from The Homemade Brownie Company will be as they should – slightly crunchy on the outside and deliciously gooey in the middle!
How big is each brownie?
Each standard brownie is approximately 7cm x 5cm and weighs around 70 grams. For comparison purposes a Costa Coffee Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie is 60 grams.
How long do brownies last?
We use only the finest quality ingredients at The Homemade Brownie Company so our brownies will stay fresh for 2 weeks at room temperature.
Can you freeze brownies?
Our brownies are perfect for freezing and once frozen they’ll stay fresh for 3 months. We would recommend wrapping them individually when freezing. Simply de-frost them at room temperature and they’ll be ready for eating.
Can I get a sample?
If you’re thinking of ordering a large quantity of brownies by post, we’ll happily provide a free sample so you can 'try before you buy'. Please get in touch via any of the means on the 'Contact' page or our social media channels and we’ll be happy to discuss sending you some samples.
What are letterbox brownies?
‘Letterbox’ brownies refer to brownies that can be delivered directly to your door i.e. through your letterbox. The Homemade Brownie Company can deliver its full range of products directly to your door via DPD's fully tracked service.
How can you use leftover brownies?
As our brownies keep for 2 weeks at room temperature there’s plenty of time to deal with any leftovers from the first sitting! Aside from that, leftover brownies are perfect for adding to desserts or ice - cream sundaes. Or how about using them as a base for a trifle?
How can I order brownies by post?
To order brownies online, simply browse our online store and select which flavour you’d like, add to cart and follow the checkout process. Once you’ve completed your purchase we’ll get your brownies out to you for your selected delivery date.
How are the brownies shipped?
All our brownies are internally wrapped with our beautifully branded baking paper to keep them fresh. They are then carefully secured with ribbons and tags before being placed in an external cardboard postal box and protected by eco wood wool to keep them safe and free from damage during their journey. Our standard delivery method is DPD’s fully tracked service, although deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Islands/Highlands & the Channel Islands are sent via Royal Mail's Tracked 24 service instead.
When will my brownie order arrive?
Our standard delivery method is DPD’s fully tracked service and you will select your preferred delivery date when placing your order. We will dispatch your order the day before your selected delivery date and although DPD’s service doesn’t guarantee next day delivery, it does achieve it 99.8% of the time.
Orders placed before 3pm will be available for dispatch the next working day and orders placed after 3pm will be available for dispatch a day later.
All DPD services are fully trackable online and come with e-mail and text alerts so you can follow the progress of your delivery from the moment it leaves us until the moment it arrives at your door. If you’re not going to be in you can choose from a number of options online, such as leaving your delivery in a safe place, leaving it with a neighbour or re-scheduling for another day.
I need my order extra quickly. Are there any other options?
Our NEXT DAY range has 2 of our most popular products available for next working day delivery if ordered before 3pm. There are also delivery upgrade options available at checkout. If none of these options work for you, please get in touch via any of the means on the 'Contact' page or our social media channels and we’ll be happy to discuss your requirements. We'll always do our very best to help.
Can I order brownies now for a later date?
Of course. All our products ask you to enter a delivery date when ordering so you can enter a date as far into the future as you like. Your brownies will not be delivered until that date.
My brownies are a gift. How do I personalise a gift tag?
All our products that are available as a gift have a clear option to 'Add personalised gift message' on the product page. Once selected you can type in your personalised message and this will be added onto a gift tag and included in the box for the recipient.
Are there discounts available for larger brownie orders?
Yes, larger orders will qualify for a discount. Please contact us via any of the means on the 'Contact' page or any of our social media channels if you would like to place a larger order.
I am local. Can I collect my brownies from you directly?
Yes, we'd be very happy to arrange for you to collect your order from us if that's your preference. You can purchase through our online store using the discount code 'COLLECT' at checkout and we will be in contact with you to arrange your collection. There is further information about the collections process on our 'Delivery' page.
Do you deliver internationally?
We're now able to deliver internationally via DPD's international courier network, although prices and lead times will be impacted. Please contact us via any of the means on the 'Contact' page if you have an international delivery requirement.
What ingredients do you use?
Every product that we send out comes complete with a detailed list of ingredients and allergens. If you would like this information sooner, please contact us via any of the means on our 'Contact' page and we will very happily sent it straight to you.
Are brownies gluten free?
All our brownies are gluten free at The Homemade Brownie Company. Ordinarily brownies aren’t gluten free but we ensure all our carefully selected ingredients are 100% free from gluten.
Are your brownies suitable for vegetarians?
Absolutely! We also offer a Vegan range which is dairy free too.
What are vegan brownies made of?
There are many different vegan brownie recipes out there and we’ve tried many to find the perfect one. Our vegan brownies contain cocoa powder, sugar, gluten - free flour, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, almond milk and of course a load of vegan dark chocolate. Our vegan range are also dairy free brownies.
Do brownies contain nuts?
Our Peanut Butter, Fruit & Nut, Snickers & Nutella Blondie brownies contain nuts. All 10 of our other standard flavours contain no nuts. Please note however that all our brownies are produced in a kitchen that uses nuts, so it’s possible that they may contain nut traces.
What brownies are peanut free?
Only our Peanut Butter and Snickers brownies contain peanuts. All 12 of our other standard flavours are peanut free.
Are brownies dairy free?
Our standard range of chocolate brownies are not dairy free (they contain chocolate and butter), however our range of vegan brownies are dairy free.
What brownies are dairy free?
None of our standard gluten free brownies are dairy free, however our 4 flavours of vegan brownies are free of dairy products. Our vegan brownie flavours are Vegan Classic, Vegan Salted Caramel, Vegan Peanut Butter and Vegan Fruit & Nut.
What is a flourless brownie?
A flourless brownie is simply a brownie made without flour. Typically the flour would be replaced with something like ground almonds. We’re sure there are some great flourless brownies out there, but we believe brownies are better with flour, so our current menu doesn’t include a flourless brownie.
Are brownies healthy?
Brownies contain lots of delicious chocolate, sugar and butter, so should be a treat. All our homemade brownies are free from gluten, which we believe makes them healthier than most, however we would still suggest they are eaten as part of a well - balanced diet.
